it is question from past years paper..-oct2007-
the question:
write an essay of 180 words on why malaysian university students are not good in English..
my answer:
Malaysian university student,sounds like a great person,but how could they can be great if they are not good in English.This happen because of various causes that we simply ignore of it.One of the cause why they are not good in English is that they lack of confident.Other than that,they feel shy to talk among themselves.they also less of exposure in English as it can make them think that English is a hard second language to be learn.

ok, remember all points have to be combined in ONE sentence which means your thesis should be.... (try to do it again and i'll check. i don't want to do it for you :P )
owh, one more thing, lack of confidence and feeling shy can be considered as one point. they are the same thing.
why do you feel shy to speak English in my class? it is because you're not confident with your language proficiency. see? it's very closely related. so dig out some other points

Various causes why Malaysian university students are not good in english because this is not their language at home where they comunicate by using their own language races and they also feel shy to speak to others as it is less exposure from their parents.
